The court has noticed
Pharaoh Cat
Standing is a temporary misunderstanding.
The Noon Court
At noon, Pharaoh Cat crosses the hot courtyard on four square paws. The cobra on his crown watches the doors; the curled tail counts anyone still upright. He does not chase mice. He audits posture, accepts tribute in small ceramic bowls, and waits beneath the sun until every back remembers its proper angle. One blink means grace. Two mean the floor. By sunset, even the columns appear to be leaning.
Court Etiquette
Lower Your Head
The crown notices before its wearer does.
Keep Bowls Full
Empty pottery creates unnecessary hearings.
Address The Cobra
It handles appeals without changing expression.
Stand Somewhere Else
The courtyard is reserved for knees.
